Braz was the organizers of this event and it was held in conjunction with INAE that is the local enforcement authority. Sérgio Braz, Helena Nel, Cláudia Mabone, Maria Augusto and most of the Braz-team was present at the training session. It is estimated that 70% of consumer products (international or local brands) sold in Mozambique is counterfeit. The event was well attended and there were representatives from the clothing, pharmaceutical, healthcare, FMCG, automotive and tobacco industries. This event was not just about training in counterfeit identification, but also long-term strategies to address the counterfeit problem in Mozambique. Cláudia Mabone also did a presentation on how to identify counterfeit Puma products on their behalf. INTA representatives were also present to discuss their focus on Africa and how they can assist in raising awareness on some of the enforcement issues.
