This event was organized by the Industrial Property Institute (IPI), in collaboration with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the African Regional Intellectual Property Organization (ARIPO). This seminar is rooted in the need to deepen knowledge of the procedures and advantages of using PCT to protect inventions and Braz was represented by Sergio Braz, Maria Augusta and Igma Nhaca. The PCT was conclude in Washington on 19 June 1970 and was successively amended on 28 September 1973, February 1984 and 3 October 2001.
